Fighting the Epidemic of Obesity
For many years now, Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children has recognized that childhood obesity is a major concern in our society. To combat this national epidemic in our youth, the hospital has developed programs designed to lower the incidences of childhood obesity. Working with community educators, leading experts at Florida Hospital for Children are helping children learn about healthy drink alternatives, the dangers of fast food and nutrition labeling. Children and their parents join together in fun activities designed to raise awareness and teach solid life skills.
