A new addition to the family is a time of celebration, joy and love as the newborn is welcomed into the world by family, friends and loved ones. Unfortunately, there are times when things don’t go as planned and the baby needs an extra level of care that only a skilled team of physicians, nurses and specialists can provide. When these issues do arise, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is here for you. There is a feeling of unbridled hope that every child who comes through our doors has the chance to live a full and healthy life. We see miracles happen every day, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our medical professionals, amazing advances in medicine, and the tremendous power of prayer.
