Outcomes

Improving Patient Outcomes One Patient at a Time
At the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children, we are highly focused on improving patient outcomes. It is our goal to give every patient who comes through our doors the very best possible medical care. To that end, we have brought in some of the finest pediatric doctors, specialists, pediatric nurses and support personnel in the world and provided them with the latest tools, technologies and treatment methodologies.
We continually strive to improve our patient care at all levels. This means accurately diagnosing the problem, bringing the right resources to endure the condition, continually monitoring the progress of our patients and seeing that they are as comfortable as possible throughout their treatment and recovery.
Every activity is monitored and reviewed to ensure that it meets our high standards, and more important, our patients'. We work hard to improve processes throughout the hospital, knowing that it’s often the little things that can greatly improve the health, wellness and recovery of our patients.
This includes the use of the latest treatments and clinical trials, some of which hold great promise. Our pediatric doctors and pediatric nurses are continually updating their skill sets and knowledgebase to incorporate new concepts and advances. And we have created a collaborative environment where learning and cooperation is encouraged and practiced at every level.
We never judge our successes by the numbers. Instead, we judge our success on the ability to heal each patient we see – mind, body and spirit – so they can enjoy a lifetime of health and wellness. The day a patient leaves our hospital through the front doors for the very last time is the most positive outcome for which we could ever hope for.
