Taking the Pulse of Patient Satisfaction
At the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children, we gauge our success as a children’s hospital on a very personal level: our patients’ satisfaction.
We continually strive to improve the patient experience, not only in terms of the level of care our patients receive but the style of care as well. This means ensuring that our patients feel empowered as part of the healthcare team, have the information they need to make informed decisions and our bedside manner is professional, efficient, effective and compassionate.
Toward that end, we continually assess the quality of our care and gauge the satisfaction of our patients. We are proud to say that we continue to make great strides in this area, increasing patient satisfaction at all levels of the hospital, something we have done over the last several years.
Of course, we won’t be satisfied to simply rest on our achievements. While our hospital is highly recommended by families, and our nursing and pediatric care are consistently above industry standards, our entire team – from our doctors to the support staff – are asked to look for new ways to improve the quality of the care we provide and increase the level of patient satisfaction throughout the hospital.
