Aaron Godshall, MD

Medical Director of Pediatric Sedation Program

Medical Director, Pediatric ICU

When your child is injured, been in an accident, or has had an adverse reaction to a health problem such as diabetes or a serious infection, minutes count. Responding to these critical care cases, Dr. Godshall and his Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) work closely together to stabilize your child and take the necessary measures to examine, diagnose and treat the problem at hand.

As Medical Director of Pediatric Sedation Service, Dr. Godshall uses the latest advances in sedation medicine to help your child relax and feel comfortable during certain procedures, such as spinal taps, bone marrow aspirates and renal biopsies. This not only helps your child feel more comfortable, but allows them to feel no pain and helps them stay still, promoting a more positive outcome for the procedure. When sedation is needed, Dr. Godshall’s will work closely with you to ensure that you understand the procedure and why it is necessary.

Education and Experience

Dr. Godshall received his B.A. in psychology from California State University, Chico, and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He served his pediatrics residency at Kaiser Permanente Lost Angeles Medical Center, and completed fellowship, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Godshall is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is and is a noted researcher and educator.
