Carl R. Barr, DO

Medical Director of Neurology

Dr. Carl R. Barr has over ten years experience in diagnosing and treating children with neurological disorders such as seizures (epilepsy), brain tumors, spinal disorders, muscle disorders, headache, sleep disorders and neurobehavioral disorders, like autism and ADHD.

Dr. Barr also specializes in treating patients with cerebral palsy, vagus nerve management (VNS stimulation) as well as Botox therapeutic treatment.

Dr. Barr uses the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and treatments in providing state of the art care at the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children. As the Director of Pediatric Neurology, Dr. Barr works closely with all of Florida Hospital for Children team members to ensure committed and compassionate care for all of our young patients and their families

Dr. Barr is also a member of the Neuro-Oncology and Neurofibromatosis Clinic teams.

• Board Certified in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology
• Child Neurology Fellowship and Neurology Residency – National Capital Consortium for Graduate medical Education, Bethesda, MD.
• Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
• B.S. Degree’s in Healthcare Management and Health Science.
• Assistant Professor, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
• U.S. Navy-Retired with combat service in Operation Iraqi Freedom
