Board-certified in clinical neuropsychology, Dr. Westerveld directs the pediatric neuropsychology department at Florida Hospital for Children. Working alongside a highly experienced team, Dr. Westerveld diagnoses and treats a range of developmental, medical, psychiatric and neurological conditions affecting our young patients.
As children grow and mature, challenges are inevitable. From behavioral, social and academic issues to developmental problems and language disorders, Dr. Westerveld understands all too well that early diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychology issues is essential to proper development and growth. Just a few of the many medical conditions affecting development that are addressed by Dr. Westerveld and his team include epilepsy, brain tumors, cancer, and genetic conditions such as neurofibromatosis. Dr. Westerveld earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his B.S. in psychology from Stockton State College. He is a highly respected expert in his field as well as an author, lecturer, panelist and associate clinical professor in neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine.
