Dr. Sandra Cely, MD

Medical Director of Child Development

A noted expert in childhood development, Dr. Cely is board certified in developmental and behavioral pediatrics and oversees a team of professionals who diagnose and treat children with developmental and behavioral issues, including developmental delays, ADHD, autism and leading disabilities. They can also assess babies born prematurely for developmental problems.

Before joining the Center for Childhood Development at Florida Hospital for Children, Dr. Cely served as assistant professor in behavioral and developmental pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. 

Education and Experience

Dr. Cely earned her medical degree at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Colombia. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and her fellowship in behavioral and developmental pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. She holds certifications in pediatrics as well as behavioral and developmental pediatrics.
