At the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children, our division of pediatric stem cell transplantation (SCT) provides a full range of services for patients requiring stem cell transplantations. In fact Florida Hospital for Children boasts the only pediatric stem cell transplantation program in Central Florida. We offer comprehensive services including pre-transplantation consultation and evaluation, education, social services and post-transplant follow up and care.

We perform stem cell transplantation utilizing stem cells from bone marrow, umbilical cord blood or peripheral blood. Conditions for which we transplant include malignant and non-malignant conditions, but are not limited to:
- Acute lymphocytic leukemia
- Acute myelogenous leukemia
- Bone marrow failure syndromes
- Chronic myelogenous leukemia

Our bone marrow transplant services are backed by world-class care, including pediatric subspecialty support, pediatric radiation therapy, clinical pharmacy and laboratory services and social support services. We have our own laboratory, complete with a lab technician in-house, to quickly turn around blood examinations and counts so you don’t have to wait any longer than necessary for the results.
