Transportation That Saves Critical Time

When there’s a critically ill infant or child in need of care, Florida Hospital for Children's Pediatric Transport Team is en-route. Composed of specially trained registered nurses and respiratory therapists, the transport team is experienced in stabilizing and transporting critically ill children.

On Call and Read to Roll

The transport team goes into action once a call comes in from the Emergency Transfer Center. The team works closely with pediatric intensivists and communicates with them before, during and after transport to ensure that the patient receives the highest level of quality care throughout. 

When Minutes Count

When your child is in need, Florida Hospital for Children transport team is there for you. Because they are able to begin critical care sooner, the child’s chances of recovery are greater. Thanks to the experienced pediatric critical care team, the care delivered en-route is virtually the same as they will receive once they reach our Level 1 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
